Donald Skinner of Brookville is headed to trial for various cases including abandoning two children along the side of a road and trespassing.
Skinner had a preliminary hearing in Judge Bazylak’s office last Tuesday. Reports say Skinner on August 8th picked the two kids up at their home and then stopped his car on Sulgar Road in Pine Creek Township, told them “the cops are after me” and took off into the woods, leaving them with no supervision.
The two children traveled about a mile on foot before being found by a passing motorist.
The following evening, a male victim woke up on his couch to Skinner standing in his doorway. The man told Skinner to leave but Skinner said the cops were after him and squatted down to hide. Skinner refused to leave until being told the police had been called.
Skinner remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.
