On Friday, the Punxsutawney Borough Council voted to increase the Borough Police starting pay.
Saturday’s edition of the Punxsutawney Spirit reports, they also approved to increase the pay of an officer who has been on the job for over a year. The published report says any new employee will start at $38K and after a year it will increase to $41,000.
