Indiana County District Attorney Bob Manzi says the sentencing yesterday of a Cherry Tree man in a domestic violence case is a testament to the bravery of the victim.
28-year-old Edward Barnosky was sentenced to two to five years in state prison for his guilty plea to strangulation, a second degree felony. He is not eligible for early parole and must pay restitution to the victim in addition to fines and court costs. The victim fled the scene of the assault on June 11th last year and sought refuge at the Cherry Tree Fire Department.
