Pennsylvania State Police based in DuBois found three pigs living in undesirable living conditions in Winslow Township of Jefferson County.
According to the police report, on November 8th, authorities conducted an animal welfare check at a residence along route 310 and found one of the three had life threatening injuries. Police rescued the pigs and rendered treatment; however, one died as a result of the wounds. Troopers found two other pigs had died prior to notifying the state police.
The owner was found and chargers are pending the investigation.
