Several residents voiced their desire to keep the indoor pool at the Punxsutawney Area Elementary School open following a discussion of possibly closing it due to water leaks and repairs at last week’s school board meeting.
According to The Punxsutawney Spirit, many who attended Tuesday’s voting meeting expressed their support to have the pool fixed instead of eliminating by citing the physical and mental health improvements of using the pool, as well as the education benefits for the students grades three through six.
