Sintergy, Incorporated of Reynoldsville held an open house/dedication on October 20 for its completed expansion project.
Invited quests, including County officials, State Representative Brian Smith and Congressman Glenn Thompson, had the chance to mingle and look over the new addition before the formal dedication ceremony began.
In his opening comments, Sintergy President Rick Young provided a brief history of the company, from its beginnings in Punxsutawney in 2004 to its move to the Reynoldsville Industrial park in 2010. Since then, three additions have been added, including the one just completed, which tacks on an additional 28,800 square feet to the building.
Despite all of the expansion and new equipment purchases over the years, Young said what sets Sintergy apart is its people. Young added that up to five new full time jobs have been added because of the expansion.
Sintergy is a powdered metal plant that specializes in parts for the lawn and garden industry.
