PennDOT has issued a travel advisory for anyone using the Margiotti Bridge in Jefferson County.
As part of the final phase of the Margiotti Bridge Project, Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. will begin
removal of the old bridge starting today. All pedestrian traffic will be relocated onto the new
bridge structure prior to the start of the demolition.
Traffic on the bridge may be restricted to one lane project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2019. Motorists should slow down and use caution in work zones, and obey flaggers and other traffic control devices. Expect congestion and delays. Fines are doubled for violations in work zones.
