
Felony charges await a Punxsutawney man after he was caught by an undercover internet predator sting operation.
On Sunday Brookville Police filed five charges against 34-year-old James E. Petrick of Punxsutawney, including: Unlawful contact with minor, criminal solicitation and corruption of minors. According to the criminal complaint, Petrick allegedly made contact with the fictitious persona multiple times with inappropriate requests, and lewd photos. When Petrick had agreed to meet the undercover operative authorities, they took him into custody without incident.
Unable to post bail, Petrick was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 8, with Magisterial District Judge Bazylak.
