A traffic stop yesterday led to a couple being charged with drug possession.
Punxsutawney State Police say they had a vehicle stopped on Lincoln Way South Main Street in Punxsutawney Borough for an equipment violation; however, during the stop the driver, 46 year old Noel Diaz from Punxsutawney was suspected of being on a controlled substance.
Investigators say the passenger, 33 year old Danielle Christian of Delancey was in possession of a controlled substance and charges are pending.

Citations were issued for two Punxsutawney area residents.
State Police in Punxsutawney cited 22 year old Ky Kharee Stiver and 23 year old Brianna Frampton both from Rossiter with summary counts of harassment dating back to an incident that had occurred in the beginning of last month on Route 119 in front of a local department store.
A 22 old Punxsutawney woman reported to police she was harassed and threatened by the two and feared for her safety. The citations were filed in district court on December 19th.
