A hearing is set for a Jefferson County man who was caught by a local undercover internet predator sting.
Published reports show 34-year-old James E. Petrick of Punxsutawney is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Bazylak On January 8, for five charges, including unlawful contact with minor and criminal solicitation, both a felony one.
According to the criminal complaint, Petrick admitted to going to a location with the intention of having sexual relations with what he believed was a 15-year-old girl.
Petrick remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail on $50,000.00 monetary bail.
