The deadlines are fast approaching to get holiday cards and packages in the mail in time for Christmas.
The U.S. Postal Service is offering tips for ensuring mail reaches its proper destination before Christmas, they say always ensure items are addressed properly and be mindful that the deadline to send first-class mail or to use USPS Ground Advantage is December 18th, Priority Mail should go out by December 19th, and Priority Mail Express items should be sent by December 21st.
And the USPS adds the public should be mindful during this busy time of year for postal workers, in ways such as ensuring snow is shoveled near mailboxes and that pets are secured to avoid potential attacks on mail carriers.
