Pennsylvania State Police released the statistics for the New Year’s holiday driving period.
Troopers across the Commonwealth were out in full force between December 31st and January 2nd. During that time, troopers investigated 425 crashes, an increase from the 336 crash investigations in 2023. Of those crashes, only one person was killed and 68 people were hurt. Impaired driving was a factor in 31 of the crashes. Police also made 254 DUI arrests.
