Brookville Municipal Authority will receive $4.15 million from PENNVEST to replace 350 lead service lines—340 in Brookville and 10 in Pine Creek Township.
The funding includes a $2.9 million low-interest loan and a $1.2 million grant. Sen. Cris Dush and Rep. Brian Smith emphasized the importance of clean drinking water, noting that without this funding, user rates would have increased by 115%. The project aims to ensure a safe, reliable water supply while maintaining affordable rates for residents.
