A 43 year-old Templeton man, Tyler Jacob Marshall, faces multiple charges after allegedly breaking into two apartments and causing damage at a local bar while claiming he was fleeing pursuers.
According to ExploreClarion.Com, police responded to a break-in attempt on South 7th Avenue around 1:14 a.m. on February 18, finding a damaged apartment door and discarded clothing with blood droplets nearby. Officers discovered Marshall in a neighboring apartment, wearing only socks and pajama pants, with facial cuts. He admitted to drinking and using marijuana before the incident and claimed he was escaping from people at a bar, though no evidence supported his claim. Later, police found damage at a local bar, including broken doors and a shattered window. A doorknob matching one from the scene was discovered in Marshall’s discarded pants.
Marshall was unable to post $15,000 bail and was jailed. His preliminary hearing is set for March 4.
