The Punxsutawney community is rallying behind a family who lost everything in a house fire on Feb. 13.
WTAJ News is reporting, the fire began in the basement of their Greenwood Avenue home while work was being done on the hot water tank. A burst pipe led to flames spreading throughout the house. Everone escaped safely but they had no renters insurance, leaving them with only the clothes they were wearing. In response, the community has raised nearly $10,000 through GoFundMe and other donations.
For those interested in donating, fundraisers by Cheyenne Kanouff and Malia Diehl are available on GoFundMe.
