Betty Elaine Cramer, 94, of Reynoldsville, a faithful servant of the Lord passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at DuBois Nursing Home with her beloved family at her side.
She was born in DuBois on October 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Samuel Bertrum Crawford and Rhoda Kathleen (Leach) Crawford.
On November 10, 1951, she married Theodore Allen Cramer. She was married to her beloved husband Theodore for thirty-five years wonderful years before his untimely death on October 22, 1986. Though she faced the years without him with grace and strength, she remained active and independent, filling her days with the people and passions she cherished most.
Betty attended the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, her faith was the foundation of her life, and she found joy in singing with her church choir. Her dedication to her community was evident in years of service in being the caretaker of Desire Cemetery, she maintained impeccable records to ensure future generations accurate documentation of lots and burials.
Attending her class reunions was something she always looked forward to, she never missed the chance to reconnect with lifelong friends. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, creating lasting memories through laughter, love and shared traditions.
She is survived by three children, Keith A. Cramer of Reynoldsville, Diane L. (Ross) Martino of Walston and Cheri L. Day of Reynoldsville; six grandchildren, Shawn Cramer, David Cramer, Scott (Mandi) Martino, Dana (Shane) Decker, Corry (Danielle) Day and Ryan (Amy) Day; seven great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ted, four brothers, Earl, Blaine, Glenn, and Lloyd Crawford; two sisters, Verla Cowan and Allena Narvey.
Friends will be received from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 2, 2025, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 4:30 officiated by Leon Blose and Jacob Penvose.
Interment will be at Desire Cemetery, Reynoldsville.
