April is National Stress Awareness Month.
New research links stress to chronic pain. Dr. Sean Pastuch, CEO of Active Life, emphasizes the importance of addressing chronic pain through biological, psychological, and social treatments. In Pennsylvania, over 31% of adults—about 2.95 million—have been diagnosed with arthritis, according to the CDC. The study also notes that chronic pain can lead to depression, anxiety, and reduced life expectancy.
