A 22-year-old, York County man, Luke A. Teipel, has the distinction of being the first to be charged under a new Pennsylvania law banning AI-generated child sexual abuse material.
He faces 33 felony counts for possessing such images, plus one count for criminal use of a communication device. Investigators found 29 AI-generated files on his phone. He was released on bail, and a hearing is set for April 24. The case is ongoing.
