
A three-car accident that happened on Monday involved a man from Home, another from Indiana and one who fled the scene.
The accident happened just before 7 in the morning when James Smith from Indiana was driving west on State Route 286 and a car going east cut a turn to Lilac Street too short and hit Smith’s vehicle. The State Police say that’s when the driver of that vehicle fled the scene onto Lilac Street. According to authorities that’s when Robyn Leary of Home was driving west on 286 and hit Smith’s vehicle from behind.
The two vehicles had to be towed and nobody was hurt. Troopers describe the vehicle in the hit and run as a dark green car with damage to the driver side front end.

Last month a mini van hit a tractor trailer while going around a curve in Indiana County.
The State Police in Indiana say the accident happened on Willow Road in Armstrong Township on January 29 around 11 in the morning, when 34 year old Melissa Claycomb from Shelocta was following the right hand curve, slid and hit the tractor trailer driven by 62 year old Gary Blystone also from Shelocta.
Everyone was wearing their seat belts and Claycomb and her juvenile passenger were taken to IRMC for treatment of minor injuries.
Claycomb was cited for not driving at a safe speed.

A woman from Oil City is behind bars for child endangerment charges.
ExploreClarion.com reports the charges were filed after an investigation revealed that 39 year old Margaret Ann Waters allegedly smoked meth and pot with her 13 year old son. According to the published report, Waters and her boyfriend are each facing 10 counts of endangering welfare of children and other charges.
Waters is in the Venango County Jail. She and her boyfriend will have a preliminary hearing on Feb. 20.
