
The driver of an SUV who crashed on a snow covered roadway failed to report the damage he caused.
The State Police in Clarion says the accident happened on February 18 around noon, when 59 year old Ronald Erb of Fisher was going East on Summerville Drive in Mill Creek Township of Clarion County and fishtailed across the snow-covered road and hit a gas meter on someone’s property.
According to authorities, Erb backed up and drove off without notifying the property owner of the damage.
Additional details were not released and Erb was given a traffic citation.

The Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating a case of identity theft.
The authorities say the victim is a 75 year old man from Punxsutawney, who had his personal information stolen by someone who opened a credit card using his identity. According to the investigators, the suspect purchased more than $8000 worth of electronic equipment using the victim’s name.
The investigation is open and active.

Two people were arrested after an altercation in Clarion.
The incident happened on February 14 around 10 pm on State Route 68 in Monroe Township in Clarion County, and according to authorities, an altercation broke out leading to the arrest of 38 year old Lindsey Hamilton of DuBois and 46 year old Matthew Fontenot of Follensbee, West Virginia.
Investigators say the victim is a 38 year old woman of Brookville who had a prepaid phone stolen valued at $11. No further details were released.

The Pennsylvania State Police in Clarion will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint within the Clarion coverage area within the next four weeks.
The checkpoints will focus on removing impaired drivers from the highway.

The State Police in DuBois are looking for information on a burglary.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on February 13 between one and four o’clock in the afternoon, when a 32” black flat screen TV was stolen from the residence of a 56 year old woman from Reynoldsville who lives on Beech Street Extension in Winslow Township in Jefferson County.
