The man who is facing more than 1,500 charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a child in Clarion County requested a trial by jury.
According to ExploreClarion.com, 47-year-old David Kenneth Detjen Jr. of San Bernardino, CA, formerly of Fairmount City, appeared for a hearing, did not accept the plea deal offered by the District Attorney’s office and requested a trial by jury. Detjen faces several charges, including 312 counts of rape, forcible compulsion, and numerous other charges.
Detjen is in the Clarion County Jail on $100,000.00 monetary bail. Pre-trial conferences are set for March 8, and March 13, and jury selection will begin Monday, March 18.
