The driver of a vehicle who is accused of killing two men from Knox is now suspected of driving under the influence of drugs.
According to court documents, the State Police in Clarion filed one misdemeanor count of DUI: controlled substance against 22-year-old Brandon Tyler Switzer of Emlenton. Based on the investigation, the charge was filed through the District Court on February 12.
Authorities say the accident happened in Salem Township on September 22, 2018 when two pickup trucks collided head-on and two men from Knox were pronounced dead at the scene. The criminal complaint says Switzer consented to a blood draw, which found THC and Fentanyl in his blood.
A preliminary hearing is set for March 19, with Judge Turk presiding.
