Last night the DuBois City Council held their last monthly council meeting for February and approved several items, including an amendment to an order prohibiting parking in the right of way. This will expand parking for residence who obtain a permit from the City of DuBois.
The council agreed to purchase a house on Brady Street for $8000 as an investment.
The city also approved the 2019 pool rates, and after the meeting, we asked City Manager Herm Suplizio about the pool. Suplizio said, “We’re pleased we set the pool rates and… excited about this coming year… a lot of new things going on at our city pool… there are going to be new entities put in… its going to look beautiful… a lot of stuff for our kids… in the spring check it out and I think everybody is going to be impressed.”
