A man from Knox who is accused of sexually assaulting a child is in the Clarion County Jail.
According to court documents, 23-year old Russell James Reedy Jr. was arrested and arraigned on six charges yesterday, including statutory sexual assault of a child ages 8-11 years old, which is a Felony 2.
The criminal complaint alleges Reedy Jr. was observed by the victim’s relative kissing the underage girl. Investigators say the victim admitted she and Reedy had a sexual relationship.
Troopers arrested Reedy on February 20 for violating a protection from abuse order and placed him in the Clarion County Jail on $50,000 cash bail until his preliminary hearing on March 5.
