
Charges of DUI were filed by the Brookville Borough Police Department for an incident that happened last month.
On February 4 around 12:30 pm police responded to what they thought was a medical call along East Main Street. However, after further investigation, the patient, a 68 year old man from Knox Dale, had driven to a local business under the influence of alcohol. Blood results now show his BAC was .14 and charges have been filed at Magistrate Bazylak’s Office.

A man who allegedly caused an accident back in January was giving a citation.
The State Police in DuBois say the crash happened on I 80 near the Clearfield Exit on January 3 around 5 pm when a car driven by 35 year old Passang Sherpa of Akron Ohio lost control of his truck while going around a bend, a crossed into the other lane before hitting a cement colvert and overturning.
Investigators have found Sherpa was at fault and cited him for not driving at a safe speed.

We are still getting reports of crashes from the weekend.
This one happened on Sunday at 4 pm on Route 899 North of Greenwood Drive in Barnett Township, Forest County, when, according to authorities, someone lost control of their vehicle on the snow and ice covered road and hit a guide rail before coming to a stop.
No injuries were reported, the driver was cited for driving too fast for the conditions of the road and other details were not released.

Two women and a child were flown to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries after an accident.
The State Police in DuBois say the crash occurred yesterday afternoon just after 3 on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township, Clearfield County, when 31 year old Chantel Eliason of Reynoldsville drove off the roadway, onto the berm, before hitting a tree.
Eliason and her passenger, 66 year old Linda Hallowell of DuBois, were flown to Altoona Hospital with serious injuries. Her other passenger, a 12 year old from Penfield, was flown to Children’s Hospital with serious injuries as well. No word on their conditions.

The State Police in Marienville report a woman and two children escaped injury in a car crash.
According to authorities, the accident happened on Sunday afternoon around 4, when 23 year old Nastassja Layer of York was making a left-hand turn on Route 899 in Barnett Township and lost control of her vehicle, hit an embankment and came to a rest in a ditch.
Layer and her passengers, a 1 year old boy and a 3 year old girl, were not injured and no citations were issued.

The man from Glen Campbell who police were searching for following a crash on Thursday morning in the Route 240 and Cherry Tree area is now in the Indiana County Jail.
The Indiana Gazette reports the State Police in Indiana put out a Twitter alert for a man who allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle and fled the scene. He surrendered to troopers three hours after the crash.
The published article says 19 year old Brandon Wolfe has been charged with felony theft, DUI, drug possession and disorderly conduct as well as three other felony counts and several summary counts.
Wolfe is in the Indiana county Jail in lieu of $100K bond and has a preliminary hearing set for March 11.
