
The PA Dept. of Labor and Industry reports Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate for March is 6 percent, up 1.3 percent from the previous month but, that only reflects March 8th though 14th, before the state imposed stay at home orders and school closings related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then over 1.3 million Pennsylvanians have applied for unemployment compensation.
Figures released a month from now will offer a more concise picture of job losses in the the state.
