
The Executive Director of the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce, Bob Cardamone, updated local businesses and the community about the progress they have made since the stay at home order began in March.
The Punxsutawney Spirit reports, Cardamone said “…with the first round of federal stimulus funds, we advocated that the definition of small business be redefined so our community’s businesses would receive a higher priority than a public exchange business with less than 500
employees.”
He added, “Our input was heard for the latest round of monies just released.”
Cardamone also said the chamber is planning for the Festival in The Park. The Punxsutawney Spirit reports, a decision will be made in early June whether to proceed with the original dates and Cardamone said if they if they can proceed with the event, they will.
