Harsh road conditions have been blamed for three crashes in the northern Indiana County.
Punxsutawney State police say that all three of the crashes happened on November 10th.
The first was a hit-and-run that was reported around 7:00 AM. An unknown vehicle hit a guide rail end on Route 210 and left the the scene.
The second crash happened that morning about a half hour later as Angela Horner of Yatesboro as driving North on Route 954 when she lost control of her SUV on a turn. Troopers say the vehicle slid across the southbound lane and hit the guide rails three times and bounced off a bridge twice before coming to a stop.
Another crash was reported just 20 minutes later. Investigators say it was just about 8:00 AM when a vehicle went off the road and hit a guide rail. Troopers speculate the accident could’ve been due to the high wind and slippery conditions. The car came to final rest in the northbound lane of Route 210.
The driver in that mishap was not identified.
